The official course time limit for Every Woman’s Marathon is 7 hours and 45 minutes, which is a run/walk pace of at least 17 minutes and 45 seconds per mile.
The course time limit begins when the last marathon participant corral crosses the start line.
If a participant’s pace falls below the course time limit, they have a few options:
- Increase pace to stay within the minimum designated marathon pace (17:45).
- Board the official SAG (support and gear) vehicle to be bumped ahead on the course where they will still be permitted to continue if they maintain the minimum pace required. Anyone who boards the SAG vehicle is permitted to finish the race, will receive a medal and will be listed in the results but without an official time.
- If the participant cannot or chooses not to continue, the SAG vehicle will move them to the next available Medical Station, where they can be transported to the finish, or give them a ride directly to the finish line.
- Comply with the designated bump/cut-off locations outlined below.
To ensure we stay within the city-approved timeline and prioritize the safety of all participants, we will be implementing four (4) official bump/cut-off points throughout the race. Times are based on when the last marathon participant will cross the start line. In the event of a race delay, all cut-off times will be adjusted accordingly.
