MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE RACE

MALAIN MCCORMICK

Race Director

Every Woman’s Marathon has been designed from the ground up by the best woman for the job.

A Louisiana native, Malain’s inspiration to pursue a career in sports events was the everyday athlete—the ones who have so much on their plate and still make it a priority to show up.

Throughout her 15-year career, she has served over half a million runners and helped launch iconic events like Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon in New Orleans – an evolution of the Mardi Gras Marathon, the first major sporting event to return to the city after Hurricane Katrina.

Now, Malain is excited to bring Every Woman’s Marathon to New Orleans!

“Getting to bring Every Woman’s Marathon to New Orleans, my hometown, feels incredibly special. This city knows how to celebrate joy, resilience, and big moments better than anywhere else and that’s exactly what we want every participant to feel when she crosses the finish line.”
