EVENT ACCESS

Wellness Fair & Expo and the Finish Line Festival
To enter the facility for the Wellness Fair & Expo, registered participants must show their registration confirmation with QR code. Friends and family of registered participants must enter with a registered runner.

Registered participants will receive a wristband at bib pick-up. The wristband will provide access to the Finish Line Festival on Saturday at Trustees’ Garden. Family and friends may join participants at the Festival but must enter the facility with the registered participant to gain entry. If the venue reaches capacity, entrance to the Finish Line Festival may be limited to participants only. We’ll try to accommodate family and friends as best as possible. Designated meetup locations outside of Trustees’ can be found on the Finish Line map.

Only small, personal-sized bags will be allowed into the venue, and all attendees will be subject to a security screening upon entering the grounds. Please reference the Allowable and Prohibited Items list for
additional details.

Start/Finish Line and Course Access

Only registered participants and credentialed staff will be allowed in certain areas at the start and finish and on the closed course. Athletes must show their bib to get into the start line corrals. After crossing the finish line, athletes will enter a finish secure zone where you will receive your medal, water, chocolate milk and snacks. This area is restricted to participants and credentialed staff only. Family and friends can meet their athlete after they exit the secure zone, at one of the designated meetup locations shown on the Finish Line map

Spectators may view the race along the course but they must maintain a safe distance from participants and cannot enter the course at any time.

weather

We will be closely monitoring the weather leading up to and throughout race day. Our goal is to hold a safe event. Decisions to delay, stop or cancel an event are not made on weather forecasts, but on the actual weather experienced on race day.

The race will not be delayed or canceled due to rain, as long as no lightning or thunder is present. Race elements may be modified as needed due to weather (e.g., signage on course may be adjusted due to high winds).

All participants should remain alert for directions from race officials and take precautions to prepare properly for varying weather or course conditions on race day.

View the Communication section for more details on how you will be notified about any weather delays.

MEDICAL

The Every Woman’s Marathon medical plan is a collaborative and comprehensive effort between race organizers, city agencies and local medical service providers. Runner safety is a primary concern. If you experience any feelings or symptoms that seem very different from what you expect, seek the attention of our medical staff and volunteers at the start, along the course or at the finish.

medical tents

A medical support tent will be located in the Start Line Village. There will be 10 medical tent passings, as well as dedicated ambulances and EMT teams strategically placed throughout the 26.2-mile course. Two medical tents will be located at the finish line, as well as a medical support team inside of the Finish Line Festival.

Review the course map and familiarize yourself with the medical and water station locations.

Training and Competing on Race Day

Every Woman’s Marathon urges all runners to consult their personal physicians prior to training and running the marathon. Traditionally, distance running is a safe and healthy form of exercise, but there are inherent risks associated with running extreme distances, especially if you have certain pre-existing medical conditions.

Only a physician familiar with your personal medical history, current health status, medications and your pre-existing risk factors can advise you as to whether you are fit to run any long distance. Taking these simple steps and heeding the advice of your personal physician will give you the ability to make the right decisions and enjoy a healthy race.
