EVENT FAQS

Questions? You’ve come to the right place.

WHAT NUTRITION AND HYDRATION WILL BE OFFERED ON THE COURSE?

EWM is offering GU Liquid Energy Gels on-course in Lemonade, Strawberry Banana and Orange flavors. For hydration, we’ll have water and Mortal Hydration Sport Drink Mix in the Berry flavor. Plus, cold chocolate milk will be waiting for you at the finish line!

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY BIB AND PARTICIPANT SHIRT?

Bibs and participant shirts must be picked up in person at the Wellness Fair & Expo that will be held on Friday, November 15, from 10 am-7 pm at the Trustees’ Garden. More details will be emailed race week.

WILL THERE BE GEAR/BAGGAGE CHECK?

Yes, this event will be offering a gear check option for participants. Closer to race weekend, please check out the final race weekend information for details on where gear check is located, the process and what’s allowed.

HOW STRICT IS THE COURSE TIME LIMIT?

In order to adhere to requirements set by the City of Savannah, everyone must finish within the course time limit of 7 hours and 45 minutes. This is a pace of at least 17 minutes and 45 seconds per mile.

We’ll have designated course cutoff locations which will be communicated in October, so participants can see what time they will need to be at specific locations throughout the course. We’ll also have pace team members to help support participants walking at this pace. Our team will accommodate you as best we can to make sure you’re able to complete the marathon. You will still receive a medal even if there are sections of the course you do not complete due to the course cutoff locations and the timeline.
