2024 Logistics

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big day. We’ll be updating information on a rolling basis, so make sure to check back closer to race day for any updates!

Bib Pick-up

All race participants must pick up their bib and race packet on Friday at the Wellness Fair & Expo. You’ll need to show your driver’s license and the QR code from your registration confirmation email to receive your bib. Participants can pick up one additional bib and race packet, but must provide a corresponding driver’s license and confirmation information for each bib.

You’ll also receive a wristband at bib pick-up that will give you access to the Finish Line Festival on Saturday at Trustees’ Garden.

WHAT TO BRING

All participants should have their bibs visible and pinned to the front of their shirt. For safety purposes, we also ask that all participants plan to keep their IDs on them throughout race day (on-course and at the Finish Line Festival). We’ll be providing GU Liquid Energy Gels, Mortal Hydration and water at various aid stations along the course, but feel free to bring whatever fuel and hydration you’ve been training with. For more info about what you can bring, please check our Allowable & Prohibited Items page.

Arrival and start line

The start line is on the intersection of Bay St. and Bull St. in front of City Hall. For GPS purposes, you can use the address 2 E Bay St., Savannah, GA 31401 to find the location. If you’re getting a ride, our runner drop-off location is at the intersection of Broughton St. and Lincoln St.

The Start Line Village will open at 6:00am, and the race will begin at 7:00am. We’ll be using a wave start format with varying time gaps between each corral.

If you are walking to the start line, we recommend you arrive no later than 6:45am. If you are not in the start corrals by 7:10am, you will be denied entry to the race.

Parking and Transportation

The start line is located within walking distance of most downtown hotels. If you’re driving, we recommend you arrive in downtown Savannah by at least 6:15am to leave enough time time to park and make your way to the start line.

Bryan Street Parking Garage is the closest parking garage to the start line. The City of Savannah site has more information about parking garages, as well as the DOT shuttle that runs every 10 minutes near parking garages from 10:00am-midnight.

If you’re getting a ride, our runner drop-off location is at the intersection of Broughton St. and Lincoln St.

Gear Check

Runners can drop off their gear check bag starting at 6:00am. Gear Check will be located at the intersection of Bay St. and Habersham St. For the exact location, please review the Start Line Village map.

Your bib will include a corresponding gear tag to attach to your bag. All bags will be moved to the finish line, so you can collect your things before heading to the Finish Festival. Please do not go back to the start line to retrieve your bag.

Gear Check will only accept personal-sized bags. No roller bags, suitcases, bikes, scooters or anything larger than a personal bag will be permitted. Please refer to our page on prohibited items for more information. Athletes with disabilities will be able to check larger items like protheses. Every Woman’s Marathon is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Safety and Security

Please review our Safety & Security page for more details about our weather plan, security procedures and medical support. Make sure to review our Code of Conduct to help ensure race weekend is a positive experience for all!

Bathrooms

There will be plenty of (clean!) porta-potties and ADA-compliant restrooms stocked with female products at the start, at the Finish Line Festival and along the race course at each aid station. You can find exact locations on the Start Line Village map and Finish Line map. Keep an eye out for our special VIPee restrooms—we’ll have three locations on course and several at the Finish Line Festival (for runners only)!

Aid Stations

We’ll have 14 aid stations on-course (approximately every 1.5-2.5 miles). You can find aid station locations on our course map. There will be three stations stocked with GU Liquid Energy Gels in Lemonade, Strawberry Banana and Orange flavors. For hydration, we’ll have water at every aid station and Mortal Hydration Sport Drink Mix in the Berry flavor at nine aid stations.

Medical support will also be available on the course.

course time limit

In order to adhere to requirements set by the City of Savannah, everyone must finish within the course time limit of 7 hours and 45 minutes. This is a pace of at least 17 minutes and 45 seconds per mile.

We’ll be announcing designated course cutoff locations closer to the race, so participants can see what time they’ll need to be at specific locations throughout the course. We’ll also have pace team members to help support participants walking at the 17 minutes 45 seconds pace. Our team will accommodate you as best we can to make sure you’re able to complete the marathon. You will still receive a medal even if there are sections of the course you do not complete due to the course cutoff locations and the timeline.

PACE TEAM

Fleet Feet Savannah will be your official pace team for the Every Woman’s Marathon. We will have pace groups in 30-minute pace intervals, starting at a 3:30 finish time. Fleet Feet Savannah will be at the Information Booth at the Wellness Fair & Expo to answer any questions, and to help determine which pace group works best for you. On race day, pacers will be holding signs for each of the pace groups. Join your group to keep on track and meet your goals!

Each pod will include a chair and table, sanitation supplies and breast pumps. Every Woman’s Marathon will not be transporting or storing any breast milk at the start line or on-course.
